Bali

I am going here for a family vacation in October to celebrate my brothers, and my birthdays! I am super excited since it’s been so long since last time we all went somewhere new for a vacation since we all have different schedules. The pictures above are of the villa in which we will be staying, and I am so excited to be there since, it looks beautiful! There will definitely come a video of my trip there after I go.

New York

New York is a place where I have only been to once, which feels like ages ago since I was in third grade at the time. I was there for New Years with my family but one of my brothers didn’t want to go… I remember how much I loved the shopping, haha. However, I am sure I would enjoy it even more now that I know most of the shops there better. I hope to travel there soon again.

Los Angeles

The last destination is somewhere I have always wanted to go. I could totally imagine myself walking down Rodeo Drive, and just feeling relaxed. Having the beach near, and being able to hike up to gorgeous views. I have a dream of going there sometime with my friends or family, it seems so dreamy. For those of you who are American, or live there, I probably sound ridiculous but consider this all for a typical Swede’s viewpoint… There is nothing better than a place where it is hot, haha (at least for me).

How to Cure Being Homesick

Homesick? Well, here are some tips that have gotten me through my times when I miss Sweden or Italy.

  1. Facetime a friend from the place you miss- Sometimes, you just need to talk to someone from the place you miss to tell yourself that you’re still close, just not in distance
  2. SNAPCHAT- This is my saviour! I think this is the perfect way to keep in contact just to see what your friends are doing although you aren’t with them. My go-to app!
  3. Look through old pictures- Sometimes you need a little deja vu, and I do this just to brighten up my days.
  4. Express your feelings- Let the people you miss know that you miss them/appreciate them. Also, don’t be afraid to cry or take a day just to recover from the homesickness. When I just moved to Japan, there was one day when I couldn’t go to school since I missed Italy so bad.
  5. Find things you enjoy in place you’re in- Try to distract yourself by what is great about the place you’re in

These were just my tips that I could come up with, but I am sure there are so many more out there. We all go through a time when we are a little homesick, or miss a place or someone, but eventually you get through. Perseverance is everything.

Mallorca 2K16

Hi! So, last Saturday I came back from Mallorca, and I still haven’t been able to get that trip off my mind. I just learned so much about life and people, which I think is fascinating. I love to learn in order to mature, and I felt as if the trip helped me once again mature, and forget about all the stress and self-hate I had before the trip. Anyways, this year I decided not to write about each day in detail. Instead, I will just show the video, and write a small intro.

Basically, I went to Mallorca, Spain for 9 days with Alex, Sol, Christian, Sil, and Anders, and we had an amazing time. Although we weren’t able to go to the beach due to different reasons, we were able to make the best of it. When I say “the best of it” I truly mean it. Sol, Christian, Anders, and I went hiking one day, and although we thought we would die, we survived and felt so healthy afterwards. We had many moments throughout the trip to just talk. I discovered so much more about each one of their personalities, and I am so thankful to have been able to go on this trip with them. Overall, I had a splendid trip and I hope all of the people who I spent it with agree.

Always On The Road

YO! Last time I posted, I was just back from Barcelona, and now I am just about to leave for Italy. Tomorrow, I will be leaving for Italy. Then on Saturday, I will leave for Mallorca with Alex!! I am so excited! Then I have one/two weeks in Stockholm, then I leave for Confirmation camp for three weeks. Then I only have three weeks of Summer left. I haven’t seen my dad for almost 1 and a half month… and I miss him so bad… He is still in Japan working, so I won’t see him for another 1 and a half month:-(

Another new thing is that I have started walking my neighbors dogs. I love them as if they were my own, which makes it even more entertaining to walk them. The only thing I do not enjoy is picking up their manure, but it’s worth it. I can’t wait until our family buys a dog again. I miss our little Chanel, but I think I am ready to buy another one since she will always be in my heart. Anyways, I have a huge headache, so I better go take a pill for it.
