Airport Delay?

At the airport in Copenhagen, and to my surprise, the flight to Barcelona is delayed… Yay!! (Sarcasm) it was supposed to leave 4:45 but instead it leaves 8:15. We are overjoyed to have extra hours here at the airport (sarcasm again). Consequently, the delay of the flight means that I can’t upload my blogpost that I planned since I don’t have my computer with me as a carry-on. I hope you will be okay with this… I will tell you 3 activities I want to do when I am in Barcelona.

  1. Go to PortAventura
  2. Visit Catedral de Barcelona (La Sagrada)
  3. Visit National d’Art de Catalonge

These activities would be so entertaining and mind opening. I would love to do these things and much more, but I would completely understand if it’s not feasible to complete all this in just a weekend. I will be taking outfit pictures each night so by Monday I will have an outfit post with all my evening outfits I wore in Barcelona ( which might only be two due to the fact that it’s a weekend trip…) However, I’m truly sorry that this post didn’t work out, but hope that’s ok.

The Stables

Yesterday my mom, her friend, and her friends step child (my friend), went to a horse stable to ride with a group. We did this a few years back where we rode horses for 6 hours, and then we stayed the night at the place. However, this year we went riding for one hour and a half, and then we went to eat lunch together. I rode on the horse named Kingstone, he was really beautiful. It was so nice to finally get back on the horse.

Last time I went horseback riding was in 4th grade, so I missed it quite a lot. I have decided that I will get back into horseback riding in Japan. I just love the feeling of being able to just think about the horse and I when I ride. Forgetting everything else around me, and just being able to be with the horse. I remember when I went horseback riding in Italy, I had one horse that was my absolute favorite, Donkey Shot was his name. Donkey Shot was white with black spots. He was beautiful, and so amazing. He helped me when I was so afraid of galloping, but knowing I was riding him, helped me. All in all, I loved being able to meet my friend again, and spending time with horses.

Easy To Say Goodbye?

All of the above are pictures from the last day of school as a middle schooler.

So, I have had some experiences with saying goodbye to people throughout my years living abroad, and I have finally discovered the secret to make it easier. There are a lot of ways to make it easier, but this one is the most meaningful. The theory is, “if your friendship is strong enough, you will find a way to meet again.” This means that whatever obstacle there is between, you will make the effort to meet the person. I usually always cry for people leaving, but this year I found myself realizing how I’ll meet them again. Although, I did cry but the tears were more for the fact that I won’t be there everyday with them, but other than that, I knew we would meet. Usually the people you cry for, are the ones you make space and time to meet.

Instead of spending time being upset about people leaving, spend the remaining time you have together. Organize a party for them, or perhaps just go out for dinner. The best tip I can give you is, if you really care about them, you can always meet again. Friends come and go, and sometimes they move apart from you, and perhaps that’s meant to be, but the best way to keep them as friends is to stay in touch. In conclusion, just remember to continue talking to those who you care for, because they are the ones who will stay with you, no matter the distance between you.

Nails & Orlando Shooting

I got my nails done! I got them done last time I was in Sweden as well, but they fell off due to sports. Therefore, I got new extensions on them today. I get them done at a nail salon named CutieNails which has really qualified staff, and they do a great job. This blog post isn’t only going to be about my nails, haha. I usually don’t like talking about this controversial topic, but the most recent shooting is so breathtaking so I felt the need to just write a few things.

For those of you who didn’t know, yesterday 50 people were killed and 53 were injured when men went into a gay nightclub named “Pulse”, and they fired away with a gun. I can’t even begin to explain how I feel about this. It is horrible, and I feel such sorrow for the families who lost someone. I find it so unacceptable that someone would do something like this. The FBI caught two of the gunmen, but according to one victim, she said there were two more gunmen. I saw the texts of one of the victims, and it was heartbreaking to see his texts to his mother right before he took his last breath. I just want everyone to know that my heart is with all of the people who lost someone yesterday.

I know this was a weird combination of topics, but I felt as if I needed to start on a more positive note. I hope you don’t mind that I expressed my opinion on this topic. Anyways, I’ll write a more appropriate post this Thursday.

Things You Need To Know For Middle School

Hi! Tomorrow’s my last day of middle school! I am so excited for the last day! I will miss all my middle school teachers though, but I hope I will have good ones in high school as well. Anyways, I thought I could share some interesting things I’ve learned in these three years of middle school (academic and not).

  1. Never judge anyone by their cover (cliche but true)
  2. If you don’t like a teacher, try to get into their class so you can get to know them better until you don’t hate them
  3. Ask questions
  4. Don’t fool around, and don’t disrespect faculty in school
  5. Solve math problems by saying them outloud
  6. Listen in class
  7. Read a lot of books to learn vocabulary
  8. You don’t have to be the best at every subject, but you can always try to become better
  9. Be confident in who you are
  10. Take space
  11. Always check that your pants zipper is up
  12. A thesis statement should outline all paragraphs
  13. Math is a different language
  14. Don’t interrupt
  15. You can remove makeup with body lotion on toilet paper (go-to removing)
  16. Wedding ring goes on left hand
  17. Having your period is natural
  18. Hitler had a great relationship with his mother
  19. Hitler’s mom died as she was being treated by a Jewish doctor
  20. WW1 lead into WW2
  21. Living in a trench could harm you in more ways than just being shot
  22. Books are easy to read on flights
  23. Be mature
  24. Life is fun if you allow it to be
  25. Your relationship with teachers can impact your whole middle school life

I hope you learned something from these 25 facts. I thought that they were important and entertaining, so I hope you feel the same way. Anyways, hope you have a great graduation.

“7 Years”

Last Friday I sang “7 Years” by Lucas Graham at school for choir class. Although it may not be fun for you all to watch since I wasn’t very great, but I thought it would quite entertaining to hear. Also, my mom is not very professional at filming so, the quality is basically horrible… Anyways, hope you enjoy.

School is over in a week!!!! Now I only have three more summatives. Singing two songs tomorrow at school for choir, and a graduation project for both design class, and humanities. Overall, there is barely any more summatives left. In a week, I can say I am a freshman. Which is quite geeky to say, I know… but I think it’s fun to change grade each year. Anyways, I just wanted to share my favorite 5 songs at the moment.

Mrs. Potato Head by Melanie Martinez

Last Night (Beer Fear) by Lucie Spraggan

Training Wheels by Melanie Martinez

Tag, You’re It by Melanie Martinez

Send My Love (To Your New Lover) by Adele

Hope you listen to some of these songs.
