Heads Up

Okay so this Saturday I will be leaving for Bali with my family. I will be vlogging the week, so I will not be blogging. This means that no blogpost will be up on Monday nor Thursday next week. When I get back next week, I will edit my video, and then I can show you guys what I did:-) I will be taking tons of pictures and videos, so hopefully I can get some good material. I will ask around some people if they would rather see a vlog or a travel video, and I will do whichever one is requested most so stay updated for that. Anyways, I look forward to this trip so much.

15 Lessons From 15 Years

img_6688img_6691

So, 17th of October, 2016, is when I turn 15… which happens to be today for those who forgot to look at the date, haha. Anyways, let me just start with saying thank you to everyone who has contributed to make my day perfect, and I am forever grateful for all my presents that I received. Now let’s move on, and I wanted to simply write 15 life lessons I have learned these 15 years of my life.

  1. Successful people don’t wish failure for other people- This is to say that people who are greedy, are never really successful.
  2. People who are loved at home, go to school to learn; People who aren’t loved at home, go to school to be loved- This reminds us all that everyone has their own stories, and sometimes we just need to remember this when someone is struggling.
  3. Not everyone will like you- This one has taken me some time to adapt to because it is hard know that not everyone will like you, but it’s true.
  4. You may not like everyone, but nobody deserves to be bullied- No matter what, bullying is never the resolution.
  5. Everyone makes mistakes, but not everyone learns from each mistake- It is usual for people to mess up, and that is when you should reflect on the mistake so you won’t make the same one again.
  6. Distance is hard sometime, but if your bond is strong enough, it can make it past any obstacle- I find my relationships with friends different, sometimes I facetime them, and sometimes I don’t, but either way, all my friends are ones which make me feel like I never left when we meet again.
  7. The best thing you can ever do is try your best- No matter if you fail or succeed, the best thing you can do is put in 100% because then you at least attempted.
  8. Live life to the fullest-Live life with the intention to just stroll, and have fun. Take chances, and adventures.
  9. If you are having super duper fun, you usually don’t have pictures of it- When you have super duper fun, you usually forget that your phone exists at all.
  10. Have low expectations-This is going to sound pretty ridiculous, but if you keep your expectations low, you will never be disappointed for anything.
  11. Treat others the way you want to be treated- Cliché, but true… If someone treats you rudely, then you have the right to be rude back because it is unacceptable.
  12. Respect lasts longer than attention- Seek to be respected, and treated properly instead of trying to reach popularity of some sort.
  13. Karma exists- What goes around, comes around.
  14. Consider people’s past- Don’t make offensive jokes, or be rude to someone because you never know what they have been through.
  15. Be yourself no matter what- Otherwise others will not love you for you, and it can cause you to become unsure of who you actually are.

So these are all of my 15 tips, hope you enjoy and learn.

Excitement

I AM SO EXCITED!!! For what you ask. My birthday of course!!! Is this Monday, can you believe it!!!?? It is literally one of the best days of the year for me! I love birthdays because it is one of those days where everything just feels so perfect, and everyone spreads joy. The only problem is that my dad won’t be home for my birthday, but I understand that since he has to work. However, that means the only person from my family to be with me is my mom, but luckily, I have Irma, and then throughout the day I have my friends. I am just so excited to turn 15!! That just feels crazy to me, haha. Anyways, that’s just a check in on what’s new in my life.

5 Things to Look For In A Friend

Yo! So hopefully, we all have a specific kind of criteria when you become friends with people, to make sure that you are being treated well. Well, these are 5 of the things I like to make sure my friends have/are.

  1. They need to be liberal and feminists. I am not saying I hate people who aren’t liberal, just that I find myself getting stuck in debates a lot if the person who I am talking to doesn’t agree with me. I am super hard core for equality, so I need someone who agrees with me in that way.
  2. They shouldn’t be judgemental. If someone talks in a way where they seem too judgemental of people, then I usually try to refrain because that could mean that they could talk about you as well.
  3. They should make time for me. This sounds very selfish but it is actually pretty reasonable. People who actually like you, will make time to hangout with you/talk to you, or at least attempt to talk to you.
  4. It should be a conversation that flows when you talk to them. The topics that you could talk about could be endless, or possibly slim to none, but even when you don’t speak it feels natural like you don’t need to fill in the silence.
  5. Everything should be more fun with them. I could be doing nothing, but I would be doing nothing with them and that would be fun. It could be just sitting in separate places of the room, and doing completely different things, but still enjoying it more than being alone.

These are just some of the few things I look for in a person I meet/am getting to know. I obviously don’t do this completely consciously, but I do find a pattern of what I am usually drawn to, and it’s always the people who give me positivity in my life. Hope this helped if you were trying to figure out something in your life, but obviously your criteria could be COMPLETELY different than mine.

Birthday Month

img_6659img_6648img_6649img_6653

The pictures above are the ones I took from my mom’s birthday night, when we went to an amazing restaurant. I thought this would be a great way to start of this blogpost. THIS MONTH IS MY BIRTHDAY MONTH! As I have said before, I love birthdays so much! It is such an amazing day of the year when everyone should feel appreciated! This year I am turning 15!!!! Can you imagine that?! 15 years ago, I wasn’t born. If you are wondering why 15 is so special, it is like Sweden’s Sweet Sixteen, so that is why 15 is a big deal to me. It will sound ridiculous but I think 14 sounds so young but somehow, 15 sounds a little older in a way… Well, obviously it is a little older, but it sounds like a big change is some way.

This year, I decided to have a birthday party, which I haven’t had in a long time, unless it was a surprise one by my friends. I am looking forward to the party so much since it will be neon/glow in the dark theme, which hopefully will be fun! I really hope it will be as fun as I have imagined it as, because, yes, I have imagined this party since I was in 6th grade… Sad but true, ahhaha. Well here was a little insight to my life, so I hope you found that at least slightly amusing.

XOXO,
