Lookbook For All Occasions: Summer

Summer is almost here! That means Summer dresses and shorts! These are some of my new outfits that I put together for all different occasions. IMG_1465 IMG_1468 IMG_1473The first outfit is for a working day, either at school or just studying with some friends. The shirt I am wearing is from Massimo Dutti and Italian brand. My shorts are from Pink and the purse is from Michael Kors. I think this look is very sophisticated but still very casual. I actually wore this yesterday and I felt very smart and stylish at the same time.IMG_1476 IMG_1477The next outfit is for a casual day shopping. The tank top is from Brandy Melville, and the cardigan from H&M. The shorts are from Abercrombie. This look is very comfortable and easy to take off and on because when you’re shopping you might want to try on the different clothes you’re buying.IMG_1483 IMG_1486 IMG_1481 IMG_1509 IMG_1505The outfit above is for a coffee date. It’s very casual but still cute. The dress is bought recently from the Coachella collection at H&M and I think it is very flowy and the color is really nice. The sandals are from Forever 21 and I love the details of it.IMG_1494 IMG_1495 IMG_1492For the last outfit, I asked my friend Ebba to model my clothes, because I felt like she needed to be in my post. Anyway the dress is from Abercrombie, and I think this outfit would be nice to wear to a dinner date. It is both cute and kind of formal. I really like the lace on both the shoes and the dress and I think it looks good together.

I hope all of these outfits were helpful if you were trying to find some ideas on what to wear. Anyway, love you guys, adios!

Coffee, Parikura, and Train Drama

So as I said earlier this week, I would do a post about my day so lets get started!

I started out the day by hearing my alarm go off at 9:00 am. It woke both Ebba and I up. She stayed in bed a little longer meanwhile I took a shower. We got dressed and I put on my make up. Then we went into the kitchen and made some breakfast, and this meant a Swedish sandwich, blueberries, strawberries and green tea. Honestly, it was very refreshing to eat something. We sat by the breakfast table for like an hour, and then she got ready to leave.

At 11:30 I met my friend Chenoa and her baby Jack in the reception. We took the train to city, and found Starbucks. Just like last time, I had the ham and cheese sandwich and so did she. To drink she got iced coffee and I got the chocolate chip frappucino. Chenoa was super sweet and payed. We then walked along the street and tried to find a place to take parikuras. Since we don’t know Japanese its quite hard asking people where the nearest parikura is, but we did it anyway. When we got to the photo booth we stepped inside and just did the most random poses and although it was quite strange poses we did, we looked pretty amazing.

After taking our parikura we headed over to a Hawaiian Coffee shop, and the interior there was so nice. It looked very vintage and made you want to travel. After staying there for a while and just talking and catching up, we had to leave. We had to be home by 2:30 so we went to the train station.

When we got on the train, it didn’t leave and since everything was in Japanese we didn’t understand anything. We waited about 15 for the train to leave from one station to the next. When it finally left, it went super slowly. We reached the second station and again we didn’t understand what the speakers where saying. I think we ended up waiting for about 29 minutes for the train to leave from one station to the other.

Since Chenoa has such a cute little baby named Jack, everybody wanted to say hi to him. Particularly this one man who was super sweet and thought Jack was adorable (I am not surprised because Jack is super cute). This man was Japanese so he understood what the speakers were saying, and so he told us that we should get off the train. I immediately started wondering what was happening and we went to the main floor of the train station and asked a man what had happened. The man told us there had been a fire at one of the stations, which got us to the next point, how do we get home? We took the easy way… taxi.

When we got into the taxi, I just thought that this was such a crazy experience as people who don’t know the language in the country they live in. Not only was it crazy but it was fun! I honestly enjoyed this whole day so much because it was just very nice to talk and catch up with Chenoa. In two weeks its summer, and I’m leaving to go to Sweden, and I know that when I come back, Chenoa, Michael and Jack aren’t going to be here since they are moving. It is always sad to see someone you are close to move, so it was really nice to get to hang out before they leave.

It is still only 5:00 pm so I think I am going to hang out with Ebba and Philippa and maybe eat dinner with them or something. Although I missed the play we were going to at 2:30, I am still meeting them in a few minutes to talk and just hang out.

I realized something today, I am so thankful for all the friends that I have because I feel like I can be completely honest with them. All of my friends are super nice and care about me, and I care about them and that is the meaning of friendship, trust.

Rant On: Body Confidence

So this was not planned but I thought why not write this. As a young teen, I of course am very insecure about myself and my body. Many people say I shouldn’t be and that I am perfect an shouldn’t let anyone convince that I’m not. However, I realized that if someone compliments you, you have that in your head for a day but if they insult you, you remember it all your life.

Society tells us that we have to be a specific size and it never helps when we always judge each other. Jennifer Aniston once said, “You’re damned if you’re too thin and you’re damned if you’re too heavy. According to society I’ve been both”. This is ridiculous because whatever you look like and weigh you’re always going to be judged.

Not only girls are self conscious but it’s also a lot of guys but they are too scared to say anything. If you want to make a difference stop judging others. Think before you speak and If you don’t have anything nice to say don’t say anything at all. If someone calls you fat or too skinny just hold your head high and ignore them because their opinion doesn’t matter.

Summer Makeup Tutorial

Since school is almost out, I thought what a perfect timing it would be to do a summer makeup tutorial. Most of the make up products are used are pretty cheap so they are very affordable and they are also my some of my favorite products.

I started the look off with my base. This is my favorite foundation at the time and it’s the 3D lifting foundation from Kiko in the shade 04. I apply it with my beauty blender from Forever 21.

After that, I add my favorite concealer from Photoready and I bought it in Guam. I apply this under my eyes, forehead and nose because these are the highlights of my face.

Then I use my BareMinerals powder in the shade N10.

I use my Hoola bronzer from Benefit and I contour my face.

Then I fill in my eyebrows with the darker color on The Body Shops brow palette.

I actually love my Naked palette and all the colors. In this look I used the shade hustle on the crease and outer v. Then I added the shade virgin on inner, and middle part. I think this gives a classy but still summery look.

I line my eyes with a black eye pencil, and I only do this on the lid.

Then I use my white eye pencil on my lower eyelid and this makes my eyes look bigger.

To finish the eyes, I use my Bobbi Brown mascara that my mom gave to me. This mascara really makes my lashes look big and makes my eye color pop.

For my lips, I use my Kiko pink lipstick and this has a summer vibe. I really love the color and I wear it all the time.

On top of the lipstick I add my pink lip gloss from Chanel and this combination is perfect because it’s very glowy.
We are then done with the make up look and this is how it all turned out.

Room Tour

My room is obviously not that organized and I have a very messy room. I have done a lot of DIYs that I still haven’t put up yet because I don’t have a place for it or I’m just not done with them. The reason I made this blog post is just because I love to see how others have it in their room, so why not show my room because I’m self-obsessed… Just kidding, kinda…;P Anyways, hope you enjoy!        IMG_1336

This is the first thing you see when you walk into my room, and I bought the Buddha in Vietnam and the letters in a local shop. I actually made the Chanel vase myself with Ebba and the quote was just a simple DIY.IMG_1337IMG_1338This is basically an over view of my room. Its very simple and girly I think.IMG_1339IMG_1376When you walk to the right when you enter my room, you see one of my closets, and on top of my closet, I actually keep all kinds of things that bring me joy. The two rocks in the middle say “Darling” and “I love you” which usually lightens up my day. The drawers are from Ikea and so are the candles on top.

IMG_1341IMG_1377Right next to the closet, I have two of my purses and some bags, and my tripod. Then I have some letters behind a picture of my aunt and I. The two snapbacks, were from the Justin Bieber concert that I went to with my friends Jose, and Maria in Italy. I honestly think they are so cool, and I used to wear them a lot.IMG_1346IMG_1368IMG_1365After passing my balcony, we see this little cozy corner, and both the couch and painting are from Ikea and the pink pillow as well. As you can tell, I really like Ikea because they have a lot of white stuff… My other cushions are a little bit from everywhere, mostly disney stores. Next to the couch I actually just have a place to store my magazines, notebooks, and other things. It gives me a lot more space to store things so I am really happy with it.IMG_1366

Next to my magazines, I have two pairs of shoes. The pink ones I have never worn but they remind me of Barbie so I’m obsessed! The white ones are indoor shoes from Lindex in Sweden and they are both cute and comfy to wear on a lazy day!

IMG_1369The picture is actually really nice in my opinion. I really love Paris and I love these kind of pictures. I have always wanted to have a penthouse in the city of Paris, but I doubt that will happen. What I especially like about this is how everything is black and white, but the Eiffel Tower.IMG_1370Next to my cozy corner, I have my night stand where I keep a class picture from when I was in 6th grade in Italy. I also keep my favorite candles, some rings, and a seashell on the same tray. I have my iPad there as well, a plant and a trophy for winning something at school…IMG_1375IMG_1371Next to my night stand, I obviously have my bed, and again all of it is from Ikea, including the bedding. I might be slightly obsessed. I really love the bedding because it is purple and white so it is a mix of girly and neutral. The thing I love the most with my bed, is the star light that I put on it. I think this creates a very cozy and soothing feeling when you lay down.IMG_1374IMG_1373On the wall next to my bed, I have these letters I cut out from magazines (not that neatly but whatever) and I love the quote because its near my bed so when I wake up and go to sleep I see it so it always gives me a good attitude. Below the quote, I put up a pink string and then I just put most of my parikuras (photo booth pictures) on it. This is great to remember all your memories with friends and I love looking back at the parikuras I’ve taken because its like reliving the fun.IMG_1343IMG_1349IMG_1363Then if you keep walking right, you get to my make up table. I honestly love this make up table because it is very classy and you can fit a lot on and in it. Its from Ikea again, because that is where I get all my furniture. All the small little dividers that I have inside and on top of my make up table were from Daiso, a Japanese dollar store kind of. I think they are just so nice to have so I can divide all my make up in small little storages. As you can tell, I have a separate box for each kind of make up product. On top of my make up table I have both jewelry and make up brushes and sponges. I also keep my office stuff because I don’t have a desk. Above my mirror I have a shelf from Ikea and on it, I store all of my nail polishes that I have here in Japan. IMG_1372Under my make up table I have my make up bag from Victoria Secret, and another studded bag that I use if I just want to go down to the supermarket or something.IMG_1354Next to my make up table I have a big shelf from, again, Ikea. Wow, I realized all my things are from Ikea… On the top shelf I have plants and mugs that I made but in the picture above is the second shelf, and I filled it with Justin Bieber stuff since I used to be crazy about him. I felt like this shelf is a memory and I honestly really like how it looks and the memories that come back from the concert.IMG_1355Underneath the Justin Bieber shelf, I have a shelf with just perfumes and some body mists and the one underneath this one is with body lotions and body butter (did not take a picture of that one).IMG_1357Under all my fragrances and things like that, I have some of my favorite books. The one I am currently reading is “I Hate My Selfie” from Shane Dawson because he is so cool and you should check him out on youtube. I really love reading youtubers books because then I can see what they are like behind the camera.IMG_1358Then I have some bath bombs in the form of macaroons. I also have a box that my friend gave me with some stuff that I got from her on valentines day. Behind all that, I have my Ralph Lauren perfumes and some head jewelry.IMG_1361Finally on the bottom shelf I just have some sprays and other liquids. For example, make up brush cleaner, dry shampoos, nail polish remover, moroccan oil, etc. Then I have a bunch of cords in a bucket… and a portable speaker for my phone.IMG_1350The last thing you see before you exit my room is this DIY, necklace, and sunglass holder. I tried to paint it silver but it turned out gray which I was quite sad about but it worked. I don’t have all of my sunglasses on it right now but I usually do. This is very simple so I can just grab my necklace that I want to wear for the day and go.

End Of The Year/Study Tips

So, most schools only have a week or three left so I decided to give some tips to y’all about studying for finals and other end of the year tests.

  • Use some form of flash cards, I personally use Cabra Flash Cards on the computer because I find that those work best for me
  • Listen to music either when or before you study, this will help you remember when you actually take the test by just remember which song you listened to when studying
  • If you have to read, listen to the audio book while reading so you can understand the rhythm of the book better (you don’t have to buy the audio, just search it up on youtube, its usually there)
  • Google drive is really cool if you want to share documents with your classmates
  • Have a study buddy and quiz each other
  • If you want to have some help, ask a friend or family member to help (my grandpa helps me with science and math every night through skype)
  • Treat yourself after studying for a while, this will keep you motivated to keep on studying
  • Pay attention in class- even though most of you think that you can catch up at home, the teacher is usually teaching a valuable lesson that you can’t learn at home

Although its almost summer break, you have to remember to stay focused during class, and be nice to all teacher. This time of the year is when they write report cards and most of you will stay another year, so don’t do something that you will regret when you come back from break. Also, just because its the end of the year don’t think that nobody will care if you goof off, because the teachers and faculty of the school can still get you in trouble. Think before you do something. You might think that right now school doesn’t matter but when you get into that one collage you always wanted to go to, your smile will be as bright as a firework, and that is where school got you. Other than that, hope you take these tips in consideration! Adios!IMG_0075 IMG_0044 IMG_0103

Swimming and Goodbyes

After going to sleep 3 am yesterday, I slept kind of late. Well, that is until my phone starts getting texts and I wake up. I then go on all my social media such as instagram, snapchat, facebook and all of that. The reason I was up so late yesterday was because after coming home from softball team dinner, my parents had guests and I like all my parents friends so I decided to sit and talk with them for a while. Which ended up being 5 hours…

Ebba called me around 10:30 in the morning, and we talked for a while and I asked if she wanted to go to the gym. She of course said yes and I went to get my dad to come with us because kids younger than 16 aren’t allowed to go to the gym alone. I ran on the treadmill with intervals because I find that it helps a lot actually. I usually sprint 3/4 and then jog 1/4 of a lap.

After running I did the stretches on the equipment that the gym has. After doing the stretches on the equipment, I did some exercises that I found on youtube for the Victoria Secret body. GOALS! Actual goals though! I felt the pain coming already while I was doing the exercises.

After 2 hours at the gym, Ebba and I headed to the pool because then we don’t need an adult. I wore my aqua blue bikini from Victoria Secret and matched it with a towel from PINK. We sat in the jacuzzi for a while and then we started swimming 10 laps around the pool and did some arm and leg exercises. I have always been a water person ever since I was little, so I find it really easy to do anything in water. I can swim under water for the whole lap around the pool without taking a breath. I find water to be soothing and calming.

When we came home, we ate some Swedish meatballs and mashed potatoes. We sat on the balcony eating and just enjoying the view while speaking. We watched some youtube together and then I did 2 hours of math studying for tomorrows test. I am so scared because math is one of the subjects that I am not that confident about. As soon as I step into the classroom I just don’t feel comfortable. Its not that I’m bad at math, because I am actually kind of good but I’m just not confident in myself when I have tests.

At 5:00 pm, there was a huge goodbye potluck party in our building. Since I know all t6he people that are moving, I came to the party. I got to say, I am going to miss them all. I know we are going to keep in touch but the feeling when some of your closest friends are moving, is just very sad. Since I live abroad, there is always going to be someone who I care about that is moving, and sometimes it might even be myself. Anyways, we all ate together and just mingled. I signed the books that the people who are moving have, so they can get a sweet note from me. I truly will miss them all.

At 7:00 again, I went on skype and got tutored in math by my grandpa. Everyday he tutors me so he is helping me study for the math test. We studied for two more hours and I think I have it all understood now. I really hope I will do good on my test because it will make me a lot more satisfied with my grade in math class. We also have a Spanish test tomorrow so I am going to study for that now for half an hour. This week and next week are full with tests since its the last weeks before summer break. Anyways, I love you! ¡Adios!IMG_1157 IMG_1158 IMG_1159 IMG_1161 IMG_1162

International Kids Day

Waking up early is always an amazing feeling. I know its not early but for some reason, when you wake up at nine you get more of your day accomplished. Today, I was able to both go through my youtube subscriptions and go to a festival. The festival is for International Kids Day.

Since it was the International Kids Day, we of course decided to go to the festival. Basically, there was a bunch of tables and you go around and buy things and do activities. Ebba and I went there together so we walked around, and she bought a dress from Hollister. I couldn’t really find anything that I felt like I needed so I just bought some food. For lunch we ate chicken and it was kind of like Chick-Fil-A.

After eating we walked around and I saw a a cool activity so Ebba and I walked over there. So we asked what the activity was to a woman named Omima, and she told us it was like a scavenger hunt. We had to find the questions and all answers were different colors. We had to fill in a sheet of paper using the answers of questions. To be honest, it was hard but we managed and got a certificate. We asked what the activity was for and Omima gave us her business card so we would check out her website so we could find out what the activity was for.

After a while we met three of my friends, Callum, Olivia, and Nilla. We all ate some shaved ice. Shaved ice is literally my life and it only works to buy here on special festivals. Then we just walked around and talked.

Later tonight we are going to a softball dinner for our softball team. Basically the team goes to dinner and just hangs out one last time. I think its awesome that we are able to reunite after spending a whole sport season just playing softball together.

I am wearing a pair of white Abercrombie shorts and Hollister shirt. I am also wearing my gold Havaianas because those are my favorite flip flops. I am a person who will wear an outfit from Hollister only. I love Abercrombie and Hollister because they sell both comfy and stylish clothes! ¡Adios!IMG_1303 IMG_1304 IMG_1306 IMG_1307 IMG_1308 IMG_1313 IMG_1314 IMG_1324 IMG_1325 IMG_1330 IMG_1254 IMG_1255 IMG_1257 IMG_1258 IMG_1260 IMG_1262 IMG_1268 IMG_1272 IMG_1276 IMG_1280 IMG_1290 IMG_1295

Indiana University and Tigers!

Friday! Finally! Today we have some of my favorite classes such as, English, P.E., and choir. In English we basically just read a chapter of “The Outsiders” and I really like the book. It gives the message that just because you are different from some people, doesn’t mean they don’t have problems. I would recommend the book because it is interesting and I am only at chapter 5.

In P.E. we played pickle ball (like tennis but other rackets and balls). It is pretty fun although my team almost lost… But it’s not about winning, it’s about having fun!

Choir class is generally fun and since I really like singing and music then it’s a class I enjoy. Today Philippa and I sang “If I Die Young” and got some feedback. I have never really liked feedback but when I sing I like to know what I am doing wrong so I can improve. I think Philippa and I did well when we sang and I am excited for the concert.

After school, Philippa and I went to get a drink from Tully’s (local coffee shop) just because it is nice to get something refreshing after working a whole day at school. We then sat and practiced for choir again so we are super prepared.

Later today we are going to the orchestra and band concert that our school is having. Since, it is my friend Chae Young’s birthday, I decided to come watch her when she plays her flute. It is usually fun to go see the class play instruments.

I decided to wear an Indiana University shirt today that I got from my friend, Chenoa. I paired it with a pair of long jean shorts from Macy’s since my school has a dress code they have to be long. Both Philippa’s and my shoes are from Nike. Philippa is wearing her black tiger shirt from a local store and black jeans from Old Navy. Anyways, hope your day is fun so far, mine definitely is. ¡Adios!
